I know next month is usually the time people focus on being thankful, but I think it’s a good practice to exercise every day!
This week especially I have something for which I am very thankful, and I thought I’d take some time to share that with you (and I’d love to hear from you about something for which you’re grateful too!)
To put it mildly, my father had some health difficulties this weekend. While there were many flaws along the way in how his care was managed, today I choose to be thankful for a skilled doctor who was in the right place at the right time and acted quickly!
I think that introverts especially tend to value their close friend or family relationships as they often have fewer companions than extroverts, and for me, that is definitely true! I was privileged to grow up in a loving home and have had a great relationship with my dad for as long as I can remember.
Ultimately, I’m thankful to God for allowing the surgeon and other medical professionals to be able to give my dad the procedures needed, and I pray He continues to work and provide the healing that only He can do.
As often as I talk about living natural lifestyles, reducing chemicals in our lives, etc.; there is certainly a time and a place when the scientific advancements in the medical community can be a life-saving asset as they were this past week.
So today, I pause from the usual to say “thanks.”
I’m thankful for my earthly father whom I love dearly; I’m thankful to my heavenly Father for watching over all of us, and I’m thankful for all those who played a role in the events of this weekend, including my mother as I know it was a difficult time for her as well!
Have you taken time lately to say thanks? I challenge you to do that today; and I guarantee it will improve your day!
