Recipe: Crack Slaw!

Crack Slaw: A dish that earned its name by being so delicious it’s addicting!

You can probably look online for a variety of ways to make this recipe; if you haven’t tried it yet, here’s how we make it in our home! We usually have this two or three times a month; it’s pretty easy to make, doesn’t require a lot of time or fancy ingredients, and is also low-carb for those following a higher-protein diet.

1.5 lbs. ground beef
2 TBL olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 green onions, sliced
1 medium-sized cabbage head, shredded
2 TBL tamari or soy sauce
1 tsp Sriracha sauce (plus more for serving)
1 tsp white vinegar

➢ Brown ground beef; remove from pan and set aside.
➢ Using the same pan, heat the olive oil and add garlic, onions, and cabbage until cooked to desired tenderness.
➢ Mix in the tamari, Sriacha, and vinegar.
➢ Carefully stir in the hamburger until combined. (If using ground beef you browned previously, be sure to cook long enough for beef to be heated through.)
➢ Serve with additional Sriacha sauce for those who like more spice!
